Warning: Fraudulent Planning Board Invoice Scam
The Town of Paris is alerting residents and recent applicants that a fraudulent invoice falsely claiming to be from the Paris Planning Board has been sent to a recent applicant.
The fake invoice email requests payment by wire transfer, which is not a payment method used by the Town of Paris. This invoice did notoriginate from the Town and is part of a scam attempt.
Residents and applicants are advised touse extreme caution and do not send funds, provide personal information, or respond to any requests for wire transfers, gift cards, or urgent payments claiming to be from the Town.
The Town of Paris will not request payment by wire transfer and will only communicate official fees through verified channels.
If you receive a suspicious invoice, email, or payment request claiming to be from the Town of Paris:

Do not respond
Report it immediately to the Paris PD
