Town of Paris

The Town of Paris will hold a Public Hearing on Thursday, February 26, 2026at 6:00pm at the Paris Fire Station at 137 Western Avenue, Paris, ME 04281 to discuss an application being submitted to the State of Maine CDBG program for a Public Infrastructure Grant Program. 

The purpose of the grant application is to improve the sewer infrastructure in the Western Avenue area. The work is scheduled for 2027. The amount of the grant requested is $1,000,000. The total estimated project cost is $1,928,000.

This project fits the goals and objectives of the Community Block Development Grant program by improving the sewer infrastructure in an area where more than half the population is in poverty and more than a third are elderly.

Public comments will be solicited at this Hearing and will be submitted as part of the application.  All persons wishing to make comments or ask questions about the grant application are invited to attend this Public Hearing.
